| Popa says...continued. Turns out both were true. I married Galea, and she bore my twins! I sound found out she was a Rock and Roll encyclopedia. There was not a song, lyric or record or a band she did not know. When the girls were 6 months old she got a Fender Music Master bass. Between feedings and diaper changes (mine, that is!), she would pluck away two beat patterns to Chuck Berry and Hank Williams songs. We started playing together every Wednesday night at the same bar on Atlantic Avenue, and The Black Coffee Blues Band was born. She could belt out Hound Dog like Big Mama Thornton, play a stompin' two beat, and croon like Elvis all at the same time! |

| We did a CD of '60s cover songs, and her version of Gloria became known worldwide. She came with me to France and recorded a CD on Radio FIP that sold 50,000 copies in Europe. All the while she was content to make me look and sound good! I finally heard some songs she was writing, and thought "Damn, these are great Rock and Roll songs." Dixiefrog records gave me the go ahead to record Galea's CD. We began putting songs together with Steve Holley on drums. Next thing you know, here she is, Galea! Take a mix of Big Mama Thornton, Marianne Faithfull, Chrissie Hynde, and a whole lot of shit-kickin' two beat thumping Outlaw Country, and you've got..... DIARY OF A BAD HOUSEWIFE |
